Bullied

Yesterday,in English, my class watched a documentary about a man named Jamie who was bullied for being homosexual.After we were done watching the documentary we talked about bullying and if it is a problem in our school. I think it depends on who you are whether or not bullying is a problem. Bullying happens everywhere.

The link above is a article about bullying in schools. The article said that many kids get bullied each day. Some kids bully other as a way for them not to get bullied any more. Some kids bully others just because they dont like the other kids. Bullying is a problem everywhere.

Tyler

           As i read the story twisted more and more of Tyler's (the main character) personality and moods start to show. At the beggining tyler was a lame who would just blend in to the crowd. Then he got caught spray painting the school and more people started to notice him. His little sister Hannah ( who is 14) love that Tyler gets so much attention. Bethany ( tyler crush/enemy's sister) starts talking to him more. Chip (Tyler's enemy) still hates him. Many things in Tylers life is changing.

                 The image above shows all the things Tyler thinks about. It also shows that Tyler used to be a lame and now he is strong and handsome.

"Clothing Optional" Day

" An almost naked hottie would strut down the hall, butt swaying side to side, top of her underwear peeking out of her shorts, hair flowing down her back, jewelry in her belly button, boobs spilling out of her top, big smile, and what would happen? Every guy she'd walk by would say something crude. Or whistle. Or pant or moan or follow her. And she'd get pissed.

The freshmen class is reading the book Twisted. Chapter 22 of the book talks about the girls of the high school and how they were dressed.It also talked about how the girls got mad at the guys for looking at them
 Should there be a dress code in school? In my opinion i think people should be allowed to dress how they want but at the same time there should be some limitations.
Sexual harrasment can go both ways. some girls have minds like guys.

Hooked on Facebook

Wednesday morning speaker Josh Gunderson came to our school and spoke about the dangers of social networking and differnt technology. He said we all have the power to use the different technology but we sometime abuse it. Josh talked about 14 and 15 year old girls who sent pictures to some guys they liked. The pictures were found and the girls and the guys were registered as sex offenders for possesing child pornography.

Josh also talked about bulling and how so many kids killed themselves because of being bullied on the internet or in person.

He talked about when a stranger used a little girls facebook status updates to learn she was home alone for the weekend, and that her field hockey team had a game during that time. He followed her home from the game, and had it not been for the home security alarm, the ending of the story may not have been a happy one.
